Another Blow Against Freedom Military Can Detain Citizen Without Due Process

Just received a link to this video. I believe it is important for all of us who function as “non-welfare glomming” citizens to understand the ongoing campaign to steal our freedom and empower an imperialistic federal government.

Could this be just one more step in Obama’s ambition to become supreme ruler of this country? Is this one more step in the process that started with the Governor of North Carolina declaring that we should suspend election until the economic crisis was over?

I understand that this video was posted and is being publicized by “Paulistas” – that is Ron Paul fanatics. And fanatics of all ilk concern me…

However, I am frankly very concerned that if Obama wins the election in 2012 that that will be the last free election we see in my lifetime here in the US and possibly in my young son’s lifetime as well.

Always remember…

FREEDOM ISN’T FREE

GMAC/Ally to Halt Residential Lending in Massachusetts

Friday, December 2, 2011

GMAC Mortgage on Friday said it will no longer purchase loans originated by mortgage correspondents

GMAC, a unit of the government-owned Ally Financial, said it will honor all commitments through December 5. At press time no other details were available.

Ally/GMAC is one of five megaservicers sued by Massachusetts this week, which alleged foreclosure violations tied to robo-signings.

In its release, GMAC said, “recent developments have led mortgage lending in Massachusetts to no longer be viable.” It will continue to service its existing loan portfolio that was originated in the state.

The release added that, “The company is disappointed that it can no longer participate in offering certain financing options in Massachusetts; however, it has an obligation to manage risks and deploy capital in an appropriate manner and in a way that protects the investment of the U.S. taxpayer.”

COMMENTS:

Okay, here’s another example of what happens to the borrowing public when some possible well meaning government agecny steps into it and trys to over regulate mortgage lenders. The citizens of Massachusetts now have less mortgage options to help them either buy, refinance or sell a home. In a slow housing market why do politicians think it is a good idea to limit consumers’ options. AMAZING!!

30 Year Mortgage Rates Still Around 4%

30 Year Fixed Rate Mortgage Rates Still Hover at About 4% – 15 Year Rates Below 3%.

The average 30-year fixed mortgage rate tracked by Freddie Mac during the week ending last week (Dec. 1) came in a bit igher at 4%, but still left the average for the past month below 4%.

“If you look at the entire month of November, the 30-year averaged 3.99%,” said Freddie Mac spokesman Chad Wandler. For 15-year loans the average was 3.31%, he noted.

“We’re talking incredibly low mortgage rates,” he said. “For those people in the market, and who can qualify, it’s an incredible opportunity.”

The 15-year FRM rate during the most recent week maintained the same average as the previous week, 3.3%, while the five-year Treasury indexed hybrid was down a basis point at 2.9%. The average rate for a one-year Treasury ARM also inched down by a basis point to 2.78%.

A year ago the 30-year rate was 4.46%, the 15-year rate was 3.81%, the five-year Treasury hybrid rate was 3.49% and the one-year Treasury ARM rate was 3.25%.

What this means is that RIGHT NOW remains one of the very best times in the last century to be in the market for a home. If you are a potential First Time Home Buyer you should be contacting us NOW!

Conventional Wisdom From Doug Huggins’ Alter Ego – Dr Doug DHP

Conventional Wisdom

4f44d655557f026 Conventional Wisdom From Doug Huggins Alter Ego Dr Doug DHPGrowing up, did you ever have a teacher or your parents say to you something like -  “just because someone else is doing it, doesn’t mean you should…”?  Or, better yet, “just because a million people jump off a cliff doesn’t mean it’s a smart thing to do!”

Good advice, both of these.  But the truth is, most people DO go jump off a cliff because everyone else does.  It’s called “social proof,” but more aptly known as conventional wisdom.

Conventional wisdom always leads to conventional results.

For example, the conventional wisdom of real estate agents is to cold call, show houses, and come running when they are called.

The conventional result is a broke, harried, and frustrated agent who is continually abused by buyers and sellers.

The anti-conventional way of thinking is to develop marketing systems that get prospects to call you, charge them for the privilege of doing business with you, then dictate the hours within which you will work.  The anti conventional result is wealth, peace of mind, and a clientele who respect you as a real pro – like a trusted advisor, not a “salesman.” *(YES – I am politically incorrect and I cannot stand words like “salesperson, chairperson.etc-person” The term “MAN” (as in mankind) in a term used to define the human race, not necessarily a particular gender.)

But when you mention anti-conventional thinking to a conventional thinker, they find all kinds of ways to resist, often retreating into the world of “ethics,” saying that anti-conventional techniques are “unethical, immoral” and any other negative thing they can come up with that has little to do with reason or results.

Here’s a success truth:  When faced with conventional wisdom, do the opposite, and you will often get the results you truly desire.

So, when you’re faced with conventional wisdom in any area, give it a swift kick in the butt and do the opposite.  It’s the “anti-conventional” thing to do… and it gets you anti conditional results–like high quality clients approaching you asking for your advice and counsel!

Two Myths About Resumes

by Doug Huggins

Hey Folks -

As a member of the “over-qualified” generation – that is people who have vast experience but are a bit too old for some insecure employer to hire – I keep a sharp eye out for ideas and information on how to do a better job looking for a job.

I came a cross this article by Susan Adams, a writer for Forbes and thought it might be helpful…

Two Myths About Resumes

by Susan Adams

Over eight years as a career coach in New York City, Win Sheffield has observed the myths his clients tell themselves about the challenge of finding a job.

In this piece, he lays out some facts and some fictions about résumés. (I’ve edited his words a bit.) He writes:

Résumé myth No. 1:

Putting together my résumé is the most important part of my job search.

The thinking behind this:
Every ad requires a résumé. Everyone who wants to assist me says that they can forward my résumé to HR. To get a job I need to interview and before an interview, interviewers ask me to send my résumé. The only way people will know who I am professionally is by my résumé. It is therefore the most important part of my search.

The appeal — why we want to believe it:
If the résumé is the key to job search, then once I have completed it (as hard as it is to do), I am done. A résumé is concrete and readily definable. It reflects facts. I love a clearly defined goal. It removes the uncertainty from the impossible business of job search.

The real deal:
A résumé is worth spending time on. Most employers require a résumé to get a job. I have clients who come to me after years of success getting jobs without one, but for the vast majority of people, a résumé is essential.

As important as it is, a résumé is just a piece of paper; as such, we cannot expect it to make the impression we do in person. Even with careful attention, as a rule, a résumé reflects where we have been, not where we are going; it is most helpful when we want to continue in the same field. But increasingly, we are changing fields.

To the extent that we change direction, we cannot rely as much on our résumé. Careful rewording of the résumé accompanied by a persuasive cover letter can help, but ultimately, the résumé is no substitute for meeting in person, so it pays to find ways to remove it from its role as our sole representative.

Unintended consequences:
Job seekers routinely spend lots of time on their résumés, get stuck there and don’t move forward with their search. Others produce a résumé that does not effectively reflect their capabilities and therefore slows down their search.

What this means for you:
Spend time on your résumé. If you are changing fields, make sure it is comprehensible to your intended audience. Make it “good enough” and then get on with your search. Look into the variety of other ways at your disposal to connect with people through friends, colleagues, acquaintances, professional organizations, social and alumni groups, etc. Those people may ask for a résumé, but it will not be their only impression of you.

Résumé myth No. 2:

The best way to let people know you are in the market is to ask for a job and send out résumés

The thinking behind this:
If I don’t know about where there are jobs, other people may, so why not ask them? My friends and business colleagues are often more than happy to send my résumé to someone they know if they don’t have a job for me.

The appeal — why we want to believe it:
It is tempting, especially when we are in our I-am-out-of-a-job-and-not-worth-your-time mode, to think that we are bothering our contacts. As a result, we decide to take as little of their time as possible. It’s easy and just takes a minute to send out résumé, so we feel comfortable asking contacts to do that.

I also do not want to be manipulative or deceitful when I talk to my contacts. Everyone knows that networking is the way to get a job and when people say they are “networking,” what they really mean is that they are looking for a job.

The real deal:
It is highly unlikely that anyone will know about the right job for us at the time we ask. It is also not likely that they will know someone who can offer us the ideal job. It could be that sometime in the future they may have a job, but the odds are still low. A dialog with a binary response (do you know of a job for me or don’t you know of a job for me) is a limiting conversation.

Unintended consequences:
This leads us to ask everyone we know for jobs. If this goes on for awhile, our friends and contacts may well feel badly that they cannot give us what we want. They may also feel used, because we only come to them when we want something. In either case, they may start to avoid us, regard us as “damaged goods.” or both.

What this means for you:.

The problem is not that you are approaching people, but why you are approaching them.

Those who like you want to be of assistance. They may think, like many people, that the best way to get a job is to get your résumé out there. They forward résumés to HR because they don’t have a job for you and that is how they think they can best help you. Also, if they really don’t want to help or don’t know how to help, they can save face by sending your résumé to HR; then they don’t have to think about it anymore.

They could help in other ways if you asked them. Would you be interested to know how things work inside their companies? Do you need to know something about how they do business? Who are their competitors? Is there a strategy you have used that you want to share with them or ask them about?

People like answering questions to which they know the answers. These questions also present an opportunity for them to interact with you, to learn in more detail about what interests you and to get to know you better. When it gets down to it, the better they know you, the more they will want to support you — and refer you to jobs they do know about.

Hope this helps!!

BEST

Doug

Are You “Under Privileged”? – Doug Huggins’ Alter Ego Dr Doug Answers

74c9ec94adc18a4 Are You Under Privileged? Doug Huggins Alter Ego Dr Doug Answers

Are You Underprivileged?

I’ll let you in on a little secret.  While the specific purpose of B-E-S-T  is to show small business owners and entrepreneurs how to make more money, what I teach can be applied to improve other areas of your life.

Like I’ve written about in the past, it is important you’re balanced in all areas of your life, not just one.  Those areas include health and fitness, career and money, relationships, and entertainment.  If one area is not doing well, all others suffer. However, by far the top causes of stress in people’s lives are money related. If you’re not doing well in this area, it affects ALL other areas.

The broke idiots in the popular media would have you believe otherwise, have you believe that money is evil and if you make or have too much of it, you’re a bad person, obviously stealing from others.  Whenever I read the news, this “money is evil” undercurrent runs through it, and quite frankly, I’m sick and tired of it.

One of the terms we’ve all come to hear
without a reaction ib9d59beaca19aeb Are You Under Privileged? Doug Huggins Alter Ego Dr Doug Answerss

“the under privileged” or
“less privileged”.

Think about it – that term when referring to “poor people” absolutely states that the reason these people are poor and others have money is because the people with money have been give more privileges. This is all just a part of the larger undercurrent and popular belief that the rich are somehow “lucky” or “stealing from the poor”.   And frankly this notion is nothing but BS.

The real truth is, most people are poor because of the choices they have made.

Yes – I do recognize that there are people out there who, through no fault of their own, are in dire straits. It could be due to mental illness or injury. I do feel for these people and would agree that we – that is we as individuals and we as the government should help these people. But a lot of the people out there who are shown as the “down trodden” of our country are there because they have made bad choices – Not getting an education, or more importantly not learning the things one needs to make money. Staying in an abusive marriage far too long due to some society or religious notion that getting out sooner rather than later make both economic and practical sense.

We have multiple generations of people in this country who cannot read above the third grade level –Why? Because they’ve never believed that education had value.

Frankly, the only achievement we honor in this country is athletic and entertainment. It’s perfectly wonderful for some testosterone filled, uneducated clown to get paid multiple millions of dollars per year because they can throw a ball through a hoop or hit a ball with a bat. We love these overpaid achievers.

Or some low-life makes a record about killing cops and he makes millions. But the press and public don’t resent him. But, let someone like Donald Trump make it and untalented jackasses like Rosy goes out of their way to attack them, repeatedly. OR let some corporate CEO who saved a company from ruin make a big salary and bonus and the $40 per hour union bolt turners go nuts.

Here’s the real bottom line…

Making money is as scientific and formulaic as the day is long, and if you follow what works, you will eventually make as much as you want.

If you don’t you won’t – unless you’re an athlete, actor, music star or inherited it like Paris Hilton. (And what amazes me about idiots like Paris Hilton is the press loves her.) It’s the hard working rich the press and public seem to get worked up about.
09dbf501ff74d02 Are You Under Privileged? Doug Huggins Alter Ego Dr Doug Answers
It’s time to strike back at the fools in the media. That is one of the primary reasons I started the series of Dr Doug article a few years ago and why I decided to recently restart them. (That and a lot of people asking me to start writing again) I’m frankly sick and bloody tired of all the crap the media and members of congress dump on the American public.

What really scares me the most is that the majority of the American Voters consider themselves “under privileged”; and look at those with more money than they have as evil, scheming thieves – especially those horrible successful – business owners like you and me.

We are all nothing but greedy bastards. May we live long and prosper!
